Acme Packet Net-Net 4500

The Acme Packet Net-Net 4500 delivers trusted, first-class interactive communications—voice, video and multimedia sessions—across IP network borders. For OTT/ASPs it supports session border controller (SBC) and session-aware load balancer (SLB) configurations:

• SBC—controls subscriber endpoint access to IP interactive communications services and applications over any type of access network. It also controls interconnect /peering borders to other service provider networks.
• SLB—enables linear, non-disruptive SBC capacity scaling to two million subscribers from a single SIP IP address. It supports the delivery any SIP service or application—voice, video, presence, messaging and multimedia; over any access network, including the Internet.

The Net-Net 4500 features an Acme Packet custom hardware design tightly integrated with Net-Net OS to provide controls spanning five areas—security, service reach maximization, SLA assurance, regulatory compliance, and cost and revenue management. The Net-Net 4500 complements the Acme Packet's Net-Net 3820, 9200 and 14000 platforms.
