4500 configurations

The Net-Net 4500 supports two Acme Packet SBC configurations, the integrated Net-Net Session Director (SD and decomposed Net-Net Signaling Firewall (SF).

Net-Net 4500 SD

The Net-Net 4500 SD tightly integrates signaling and media control and provides comprehensive support for SIP, H.323, RTSP and MSRP signaling and media sessions. The Net-Net 4500 SD provides the session border controls that OTT/ASPs require in five critical areas—security, service reach maximization, SLA assurance, regulatory compliance, and cost and revenue management.

The Net-Net 4500 SD can also be a member of a Net-Net Cluster when used in conjunction with Acme Packet’s Net-Net 4500 Session-aware Load Balancer (SLB). Acme Packet Net-Net Clusters support up to two million subscribers without requiring architectural forklifts or network disruptions. Net-Net Clusters support all Net-Net SBC configurations.

Net-Net 4500 SF

The Net-Net 4500 Signaling Firewall (SF) provides SIP signaling security, load balancing and other controls for the subscriber access border and the interconnect/peering border. It controls access via static and dynamic ACLs, hides topology and can protect itself and other elements of the SIP service delivery infrastructure from malicious denial-of-service (DoS/DDoS) attacks and non-malicious overloads.
